Welcome to Wildlife Licensing

The Department of Parks and Wildlife issues licences under the Wildlife Conservation Act 1950, the Wildlife Conservation Regulations 1970 and the Wildlife Conservation (Reptiles and Amphibians) Regulations 2002 to manage certain interactions with flora and fauna..

This web portal currently enables you to apply for, renew, and manage returns for the following licence types online.

Wildlife Conservation Regulations 1970:

  • Regulation 17 - Licence to take fauna for scientific purposes
  • Regulation 15 - Licence to take fauna for educational or public purposes (Excludes marine mammal interaction licences)
  • Regulation 13 - Licence to deal in avian fauna
  • Regulation 5 - Licence to take protected fauna causing damage to proper
  • Regulation 4 - Licence to take dangerous fauna

Wildlife Conservation (Reptiles and Amphibians) Regulations 2002:

  • Regulation 17(1) - Reptile Removalist's Licence

Additional licence types will be added to this online system over time.

Simply register an account, set up a profile, select the licence type you wish to apply for and get started.

Wildlife Licensing Password-less Logins

At the Department of Parks and Wildlife, we employ a password-less authentication system, meaning you never need to remember a password. When you need to login to a site, such as Wildlife Licensing, simply enter your email and an authentication link will be sent to your registered email address. From there, simply follow the link to complete the login process.
